On the weekend from the 21st to the 23rd of September 2018, the Monza racetrack will hold one of the most popular races: the International GT Open, the Spanish Gran Turismo series born in 2006. If you want to enjoy this weekend at full speed, here you will find all the useful information!
The Monza racetrack: a circuit that can’t be missed by the Gran Turismo!
The International Open of the Gran Turismo series have always preferred fast tracks, and the Monza racetrack, known as the “Temple of Speed” (the absolute speed record was set here in 2005 by a F1: 370.1 km/h) had to be among the stages of the race.
The Monza racetrack, nearly 6 km long, dates back to 1922 and has witnessed many technological innovations on its track (the guard-rail and the draining asphalt were tested for the very first time here). It has also been the stage of many races that have marked the history of international car racing.
It is located inside the park of the Royal Villa of Monza, one of the most beautiful of Italy, and is always open to visitors, from 7:00 till the evening.
During the GT Open, you will be able to access the racetrack via the following access points:
- Vedano al Lambro
- Biassono/Santa Maria delle Selve
Inside the premises you will find 54 000 sqm of parking space in a completely paved area with lighting and toilets.
