Monza, the Temple of Speed
The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza is far more than a racetrack: it is a legend. Opened in 1922, it is one of the oldest permanent circuits still in use and lies in the heart of Monza Park, one of the largest enclosed parks in Europe. Its setting, surrounded by greenery and just minutes from the city centre, makes a Grand Prix weekend a chance to combine the energy of Formula 1 with the discovery of Monza, the Villa Reale and the most iconic places around the circuit.
Known as the “Temple of Speed” thanks to its long straights, legendary corners and exceptionally high average speeds, Monza is the site of major records: some of Formula 1’s most important speed records were set here. Every September, the circuit becomes the stage for a spectacle that draws fans from all over the world to experience the thrill of Formula 1 in person.
